What is the Raindance AI trend?
The Raindance AI trend is a wave of short videos on TikTok and Reels that recast the seaside scene of the “Raindance” music video by Dave and Tems: a wooden pier over the sea at golden hour, one person singing to the camera while the other waits at the end of the pier, and the two of them ending up together by the water.
Rap Duet makes its own version from your photos. Upload one photo of you and one of the other person, keep the Golden Hour Pier stage selected, and you get a vertical video of the two of you on a sunset pier performing an original AI song together, about 12 seconds long.

How it works
- 1
Upload two photos
One clear photo per person, or one photo that shows both. Only use photos of people who agreed to appear.
- 2
Keep Golden Hour Pier and pick a style
The pier stage is preselected on this page. Sweet suits the mood best, but Chill or Funny work too.
- 3
Make it and download
Add a line about the two of you if you like, press the button, and the video is usually ready in about three minutes.
A Golden Hour Pier example

Sweet · the end of the pier
Topic: two best friends at the end of the pier. These are the lyrics of the example video above.
- 1: Sun sinks low, you and I
- 2: Golden pier, summer sky
- 1: Holding hands, a gentle breeze
- 2: Best of friends, with so much ease
- 1: This sweet moment, we will keep
- 2: Promises our hearts will leap
- 1: A perfect memory, shining bright
- 2: Bathed in fading, warm sunlight
Who it is for
A couple’s sunset video
Two photos, a warm song about the two of you, and a pier at golden hour. A gift or a post that does not need a trip to the coast.
Best friends and siblings
The pier scene works for any two people who want a cinematic, slightly emotional clip instead of another joke video.
Long-distance pairs
You do not need to be in the same photo or the same city. Each person sends one photo and the video puts you on the same pier.
Creators following the trend
Vertical 9:16 fits Reels, Shorts and TikTok without cropping, and every song is original, so there is no music to clear.
Tips for a better pier video
Use bright, front-facing photos
Clear faces in even light come out most like the real people. Skip sunglasses, heavy filters and crowded group shots.
Add one detail about the two of you
“Two friends who finally made it to the coast” writes a better song than “a song about us”. Names and small details help.
Try a short version first
Mini is the cheapest way to test the look, from 6 credits. Standard at 28 credits and 480p is the default for sharing.
