Best Hotel Lobby AI Apps in 2026: Free, Face-Swap and Two-Person Options Compared

Compare Hotel Lobby AI apps: Dreamina, Mitte, LightX, Media.io, Higgsfield, PixVerse, Viggle and Rap Duet. Free options, prices and who each suits.

The Hotel Lobby trend puts two characters, such as friends, a couple or a cat and a dog, at one hanging microphone in an orange booth, borrowing the look of Quavo and Takeoff's 2022 COLORS performance. Lots of apps now offer a version of it, and they do quite different things. This guide compares eight of them so you can pick quickly.

Last checked: October 3, 2026. We read each product's own pages and did not test the competing apps ourselves. Prices and free limits change often, and anything we could not find on an official page is marked "not stated".

Which one should you pick?

  • A free single clip: Try Dreamina or LightX first. Both mention a free start, but neither page states exact limits. Viggle's free plan is documented (5 videos a day, with a watermark) but we could not confirm a Hotel Lobby template.
  • Two people together: Dreamina, Mitte, Media.io and Rap Duet all describe a two-photo flow, and LightX accepts one or two portraits. Rap Duet also accepts a single photo with both people in it, which is handy when you only have one good picture.
  • The look of the original track: Mitte states that it keeps the original performance and recording, so it is the closest to the meme as it looks on TikTok. If you want an original song instead, use Rap Duet.
  • A phone app: LightX has a free iOS and Android app, and Viggle has apps as well. Dreamina and Rap Duet work in a browser, which is fine on a phone.
  • No editing and nothing to write: The template tools (Dreamina, LightX, Media.io, PixVerse) are built for upload and go. Rap Duet needs two photos and optionally a topic, nothing more.

Face-swap versus a new performance

Two kinds of tool sit behind the same trend.

Swap tools such as Mitte put your people into the original clip, keeping its movement and, in Mitte's case, its audio. That is why the result looks like the viral original. It also means the song is someone else's recording, which some platforms may flag or mute when you post.

Generate tools such as Rap Duet make a new performance for your two people, with an original song. The result is a new video in the orange-booth style, not the meme itself.

Neither is right for everyone. Our how-to guide walks through both routes.

Rap Duet

Rap Duet makes a vertical rap duet video from two photos, with an original AI song and lyrics, over a stage you choose (the orange Hotel Lobby stage is one of four presets).

An example from the Hotel Lobby stage. Both people are AI-generated and do not exist.
  • Pros: original song and lyrics, so no copyrighted recording in your post; two photos or one photo of both; a custom topic; failed renders are refunded.
  • Cons: it is not the Migos track and not a face swap, so it will not look identical to the meme. A render takes a few minutes. Free credits only cover one short 5-second Mini song, and everything else uses paid credits.
  • Price: credit packs start at $4.99 for 70 credits, about two default 12-second songs. Plans start at $19.90 a month.

Dreamina (CapCut)

Dreamina, CapCut's sister product, has a Hotel Lobby AI filter page. It asks for two separate photos, one per person, and makes a 12-second vertical video by default.

  • Pros: free credits "where available"; no app install needed.
  • Cons: the page does not state the audio, the exact free credit amount or the wait time. Removing the watermark is listed as a benefit of paid subscriptions.

Mitte

Mitte offers a Hotel Lobby character swap: two photos, one person on the left and one on the right, giving a 30-second video. Its page says the audio is the original Hotel Lobby performance, used as it is.

  • Pros: the closest match to the viral original, with a longer 30-second result.
  • Cons: the swap page does not state a free option, a watermark policy or a price for this tool. Mitte's pricing page lists subscriptions from $16 a month. It also warns that the clip takes longer than a quick meme.

LightX

LightX has a Hotel Lobby AI video page that takes one or two portraits and offers a Try for Free button, plus a free app on the App Store and Google Play.

  • Pros: works as an app or on the web, and handles a solo portrait too.
  • Cons: the page does not state the song, free limits, price, watermark or wait time.

Media.io

Media.io has a Hotel Lobby AI video zone. It describes two photos (people, pets, babies or mixed pairs) and a vertical 9:16 result.

  • Pros: a browser tool that accepts pets as well as people.
  • Cons: the page mentions a subscription model but states no free option, exact price, watermark policy or audio details.

Higgsfield

Third-party guides describe Higgsfield's Genjutsu with its Motion Transfer feature as the tool behind many viral clips. We could not find a dedicated Hotel Lobby page on higgsfield.ai, so treat this one as unconfirmed. Its blog cites a Starter plan at $15 a month with 200 credits, and does not state a free tier or watermark policy.

  • Pros: a full creative toolset if you want to edit beyond the template.
  • Cons: more setup than a one-tap template: you supply a source video and reference images.

PixVerse

PixVerse's official Threads account posted that you can "try your own duo with the Hotel Lobby template on PixVerse". That is the only first-party confirmation we found. We did not find a PixVerse page that states the people supported, audio, free limits or price, so those are marked "not stated" above.

Viggle

Viggle is a general motion-template tool with an app on iOS and Android. We found no Hotel Lobby template on its official pages, so we include it as a possible workaround rather than a ready-made option. Its pricing page lists a free plan with 5 free videos a day and a watermark, and Pro at $7.99 a month with no watermark.

Face-swap templates reuse the original performance and song. Some platforms may flag or remove videos that use someone else's recording, so check the rules of the app where you post. Whichever tool you choose, use photos of adults who agreed to appear, skip celebrity photos, and label the result as AI-generated. Rap Duet is not affiliated with Quavo, Takeoff or COLORS.

FAQ

What is the best free Hotel Lobby AI app?

It depends on what free means to you. Dreamina says you can start with free credits where available, LightX shows a Try for Free button, and Viggle lists a free plan with a watermark. None of these pages state exact free limits for the Hotel Lobby effect, so check the app before you plan around it. Rap Duet gives new accounts free credits for one short 5-second Mini song, with a limited number of free spots each day.

Which Hotel Lobby AI apps use the original song?

Mitte states that it uses the original Hotel Lobby recording from the COLORS performance. Most other tools do not say what audio you get. Rap Duet never uses the original recording. Every video has an original AI-generated song and lyrics.

Can I put two people in one Hotel Lobby video?

Yes, that is the whole format. Mitte, Dreamina, LightX and Media.io all describe a two-photo flow. In Rap Duet you can upload two photos or one photo with both people in it.

Is there a Hotel Lobby AI app for iPhone or Android?

LightX says it has a free app on the App Store and Google Play. Viggle also has iOS and Android apps, though we could not confirm a Hotel Lobby template there. Dreamina, Media.io and Rap Duet are used in a browser; Mitte and PixVerse do not state it.

Is it safe to post a face-swap Hotel Lobby video?

Face-swap templates reuse the original performance and recording, which some platforms may flag or remove. Use only photos of adults who agreed to appear, and label the video as AI-generated when you post.

Does Rap Duet swap faces into the original Hotel Lobby clip?

No. Rap Duet generates a new performance by your two people over an original song. It is not affiliated with Quavo, Takeoff or COLORS, and it does not use their performance or likeness.
